You want Barbara S. at your party!!!!!

This talented singer/dancer has been rocking stages and events all along the East Coast for the better part of a decade.

She first burst onto the music scene in 2007 as a member of the girl group, “Buffalo Stance”, an 80s freestyle-tribute band.  For four years, the group toured all over the tri-state area, even opening for freestyle legends Coro and Lisa Lisa.

After “Buffalo Stance”, Barbara joined 80’s tribute band, “Weird Science”, as the band’s lead singer from 2011-2013.  Under the stage name, “Myndi Lauper”, B. played sold out shows to thousands of fans, appeared on ESPN for WFAN’s Boomer & Carton show, and opened for hip-hop legends “Salt N’ Pepa”.

In April 2014, Barbara founded her current band “Lavender Steel”, the 80’s & 90’s rock party band that has quickly become one of the most sought after cover acts in the area.

“Lavender Steel” is the ultimate culmination of Barbara’s three passions in life: music, dance, and fashion.  She meticulously designs every aspect of the bands overall look and stage performance, and as a life long dancer, choreographs all the dance routines used in “Lavender Steel’s” unparalleled performances.

When she isn’t bringing her band’s high-energy rock act to concerts and events, she is tearing up the dance floor at private parties, banquets, and celebrations all over the tri-state area!!!! Above & Beyond Events is thrilled and honored to have this true rockstar shakin things up with us!
